ScopeTap

ScopeTap Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 October 2026

ScopeTap is run by DLP Ventures Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202646242D), a company registered in Singapore. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect

  • If you sign in with Google: your name, email and profile photo from Google.
  • If you sign in with an emailed code: your email address.
  • What you put into a project: the project name, your signed quote amount, each change (variation order) with its price, notes, and who added it and when.
  • The names and emails of people you invite to a project.
  • If you choose to leave a private review of your ID after your reno, the review you write.
  • If you choose to tell us what you think of ScopeTap: your rating (1 to 5), your comment and anything you suggest we fix. If you let us show your comment on our website, the display name you give us (for example "Mei, Punggol").
  • Payment status for your project. Stripe handles your card details. We never see or store your card number.
  • When a change is accepted, a de-identified price record about that change: the type of work, its unit price, the month, a room type and, if you told us, your flat type and tenure. It relates to the homeowner's project and to the ID who priced it. It never includes names, emails, addresses, project names or notes.
  • A small amount of pseudonymous usage data, such as a random device identifier, your IP address and events like starting a payment, so we can improve ScopeTap. It doesn't include your name or email.
  • If you use the project assistant: which button you used, when, and what it cost us to answer. We don't keep your questions or the assistant's answers.

Why we use it

To run your project record, show it to the people you invite, send your sign-in codes, process your payment, keep your account secure, and fix and improve ScopeTap. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.

We combine de-identified price records from many projects to show typical price ranges, only when at least 5 projects and 3 different IDs are behind a range, and to improve the public price list we check against. We never show one person's or firm's prices. We start using a project's records 14 days after we tell you about this; for an ID, 14 days after we tell them. Homeowners can turn this off at any time in Project settings. IDs can opt out of all their projects by emailing support@scopetap.io. When you opt out, we delete the records and stop making new ones. Opting out doesn't change how ScopeTap works for you.

Who can see your project

Only you and the people you invite. You can remove an invite at any time. Private reviews are not shown to your ID.

Your feedback about ScopeTap is private unless you tick the box to let us show it. If you do, we may show your comment, rating, display name and the month you wrote it on the ScopeTap website. We choose which comments to show and never edit them. What you suggest we fix is never shown. Untick the box at any time and we'll take your comment off the website straight away.

Services we rely on

We use a small number of providers to run ScopeTap: Vercel (hosting, Singapore region), Neon (database and sign-in, Singapore), Google (sign-in), Resend (sign-in code emails, United States), Stripe (payments, United States and other countries) and PostHog (usage analytics, United States). If you use the project assistant, Vercel AI Gateway sends what that answer needs to an AI model provider (Anthropic or Google) for processing in the European Union. Your project data is stored in Singapore. Where a provider processes data outside Singapore, we have a written agreement with them that requires protection comparable to Singapore's PDPA. They process data only to provide their service to us.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal data, including any reviews you wrote, within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (such as payment records). We delete price records after 24 months, and straight away when a project or account is deleted or you opt out.

Your choices

You can ask to see or correct your personal data (including the price records linked to your project or account), delete it, or withdraw your consent, by writing to our Data Protection Officer at support@scopetap.io. We'll respond as soon as reasonably possible. If we need more than 30 days, we'll tell you within 30 days when we will. If you withdraw consent, we'll tell you what that means for your use of ScopeTap.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. If you start a payment, we also set an analytics cookie with a random identifier, and Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout page.

Contact

Contact our Data Protection Officer at support@scopetap.io (we reply during Singapore business hours).

Changes

If we make a meaningful change to this policy, we'll update the date above and tell you in the app, and by email when the change affects how we use your data.
